Mike Kelley wins primary and becomes Representative Elect for Missouri State Representative for District 126
Mike Kelley is a lifetime resident of Barton County. He lives in Lamar with his wife, Ann (Blanchard) and son, Brenden, age nine. Ann is also a lifetime resident of Barton County with a farming background. Ann is currently teaching 8th grade communication arts in Lamar.
Mike’s dad, Don Kelley is a resident of Barton County and retired from thirty-three years of employment in the Purchasing Department at O’Sullivan’s. Shari (Moore) Kelley, Mike’s mom died in 2003 after touching the lives of many children as she worked at the Lamar Daycare Center for twenty-three years.
Ann’s parents, Harold and Kay Blanchard lived and farmed land in Barton County up until nine years ago when they retired and moved to Lamar.
Mike’s ambition to become a voice of the people was inspired by the life that his grandfather lived. ‘Bud’ Moore, Mikes grandfather, was an active community leader. He was active in Lamar Rotary Club as well as a prominent local businessman and was a driving force in the early days of the ‘Lamar Free Fair’.
Mike Kelley is currently the General Manager of McDonald’s of Lamar, where he supervises a workforce of almost sixty employees. Mike is active with children’s ministries at Oakton Methodist Church and is a member of Rotary Club of Lamar, where he currently holds the position of President. Rotary’s driving goal is “service above self”, at this point in Mike’s life; he feels he can do no greater service to his community than to serve in Jefferson City as your state representative for District 126.
Lamar has been blessed with dedicated leadership with strong family values and conservative voting record to serve the constituents of District 126. Mike Kelley will actively continue this voting record by being a strong voice on family values and the moral issues facing this great state.
